The Winter Blues and Your Skin

It’s that time of year where the Blah feeling may be kicking in and you just want to bundle up and hibernate until Spring. More than likely this is not possible with your busy life style. It is easy to neglect your skin during the Winter months and you may notice more dryness and dehydration than usual due to this neglect which could also lead to tightness, flakiness, and even wrinkles.

Because water aids in digestion, circulation, absorption and excretion and because it reaches all of your other organs before it reaches the skin it is important to drink plenty of it. The ideal amount of water is half of your body weight in ounces (Example: I weigh 115lbs; 115 divided by 2 = 57.50) so I should be drinking 57.50 oz. of water per day.
